Sisters Cut From Cloth
I took this theme from the expression “Cut from the same cloth.” I realized the African fabric I selected had multiple and repeating patterns. So how I cut the fabric made a difference in how the images looked in the collage. When I cut patterns from the same piece of the fabric and incorporate into an art piece that included 1 or more images the theme is “FSister(s) Cut From The Same Cloth.” When I combine pieces of fabric from different cloths the theme is “ Sister(s) Cut From Different Cloths.” When I do not repeat any of the fabrics in the collage the theme is “Completely Different Sisters.”
